Dr. Chinyere Obi and Jay Care Foundation Announce Free Five-Day Community Health Outreach and Eye Surgery Program for 2027
In partnership with Martbopic International Foundation, my philanthropic organization, Jay Care Foundation has announced plans for our 2027 Community Health Outreach Program, a free five-day healthcare initiative designed to provide accessible, quality medical services to individuals and families in Owerri, Imo State and surrounding communities.
The program, which will take place at Owerri Jay Care Hospital in Nigeria from January 5-9, 2027, will offer a range of essential healthcare services, including general medical check-ups, eye examinations, and specialized cataract surgeries for eligible beneficiaries.
The event is expected to be officially flagged off by the Executive Governor of Imo State, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts aimed at improving access to healthcare and enhancing the well-being of communities across the state.
In January 2026, the program was a huge success. Our team members and partners worked together to serve approximately 1,000 individuals who otherwise could not afford the procedures they desperately needed. In 2027, with your support, we are endeavoring to double the number of procedures given.
